Seeds Sown
Special thanks to all who helped sow seeds and put plants in the garden. It's great to see this vision become a reality.
We need to pray for favor with the CrossRoads group. We strongly desire for the students to be able to participate in this project and we've had some relative difficulty making that happen.

love the garden!!!
ReplyDeletemy concern is that you are using pressure treated landscaping timbers. the chemicals used to treat the timbers are not good for foods.
if you plant some marigolds around your veggies...you will scare away some bad bugs. and have some beauty too!
enjoy!
they look awesome! sorry we missed the "planting party".
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting this Kurt! Definitely praying for favor with CrossRoads.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your concern Jane. We didn't use creosote or pentachlorophenol-treated timbers as those agents are toxic and will leach into the garden soil and injure plants, granted I'm sure there's probably some amount of unwanted chemical residue on the timbers from the manufacturing process, but that's just the way it goes.
The marigolds are an excellent suggestion!
